Every November, Benidorm honours its patron saints, the Virgen del Sufragio and San Jaime, with six days of parades, concerts and fireworks. It is officially recognised as an Event of Tourist Interest in the Valencian Community, and it is a great time to be here.

Survival tips
Small things that make the week easier.
A mascletà is about noise
It is a daytime barrage of firecrackers that you feel in your chest. It starts around 14:00 on Avenida de Foietes. Fine for most people, but think twice with babies, pets and sensitive ears.
Parade day
The Float Parade is on Wednesday 11th at 18:00, from Parque de Elche to Avenida de Alcoy. Get a spot along the route early, as the pavements fill up.
Local holidays
Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th are local holidays. Expect some shops and offices to close, so do the shopping on Sunday.
It runs very late
Concerts start close to midnight, and the biggest one finishes in the small hours. If you want a quiet night, ask your hotel about the noise before you book near the main square.
Look after your things
Big crowds mean pickpockets. Keep your phone and wallet in a front pocket or zipped bag.
Programmes can change
Times and acts can move, especially if the weather turns. The times here come from the town hall programme, so check the day before.
🎭 The British Fancy Dress Party
Thursday 12 November, straight after the fiestas end. Dress up and head to the streets around Calle Gerona, Calle Mallorca and Calle Lepanto in Rincón de Loix. It is listed on the official Visit Benidorm agenda.
Pick a costume you can walk and dance in for hours, and bring something to carry your phone. Crowds are big, so agree a meeting spot with your group in case you get separated.
